Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Technician to support operations across Mississippi data centers. The role requires hands-on server hardware troubleshooting, network issue resolution, and proactive incident management in a 24/7 environment.

You will install equipment, document processes, and collaborate with engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors. Travel between sites is required, and relocation support may be provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, developers, vendors and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on analysis of operational issues.
• Help train and onboard new team members.
