Job summary

Cox Automotive in Nashville is seeking a Breakdown Coordinator to keep fleet operations running smoothly. You will coordinate and manage logistics to ensure vehicles are maintained and repairs are dispatched to the nearest qualified provider, with shifts that cover a 24/7/365 schedule.

You will assess open events, verify authorization, communicate ETA to customers, and escalate delays as needed while delivering responsive service and accurate updates to supervisors and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of dispatching/breakdown or maintenance experience.
• Alternative qualifications include an advanced degree or certification (e.g., Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Technology).
• Strong knowledge of dispatching and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assign all open events.
• Verify proper authorization to dispatch.
• Assign the nearest service provider for repairs.
• Advise the customer of ETA and follow requirements.
• Inform supervisor on duty of delays or issues with ETA or repairs.
• Address problems and customer inquiries as they arise.
