Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools Roosevelt Elementary in Vancouver, WA, is hiring a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program. This one-on-one role runs 6.5 hours per day, 9 months per year, with immediate start.

You will support a student with disabilities and work with the SPED team to implement IEP goals. Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to de-escalate behaviors are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Official transcripts or ETS ParaPro results required for application.
• One year of related experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience in a team environment and with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student 1:1 withinIntegrated Communication & Sensory Program.
• Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with classroom and SPED staff to deliver instructional support.
• Assist with data collection, behavior management, and progress monitoring.
• Attend training and participate in team meetings as needed.
