Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits or ETS ParaPro 455+.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Experience as part of an educational team preferred.
• Experience with children with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing and evaluating goals and objectives on individual student IEPs.
• Provide observational input at team meetings and support classroom activities.
• Prepare teaching materials and maintain data collection records as assigned.
• Manage student behavior under direction of certificated staff and support personnel.
• Use non-verbal techniques to communicate and de-escalate student behavior.
