Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools Fruit Valley Elementary in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for 1:1 support within the Integrated Social Emotional Program (ISEP). The position is 6.5 hours per day, 9 months per year, with responsibilities including assisting the teacher, managing student behavior, and preparing instructional materials.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and preferred credentials such as an associate’s degree or ParaPro assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits preferred or ETS ParaPro score 461+.
• One year of related experience with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Experience in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with implementing goals and student IEPs.
• Support behavior management and safety of students in class and on grounds.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and maintain data records.
• Provide supportive role in small groups or one-to-one settings.
