Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools seeks a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for an Integrated Social Emotional Program (ISEP) at King Elementary in Vancouver, WA. This one-on-one role supports a student for 6.5 hours daily during a 9-month period.

Open to candidates with strong teamwork and de‑escalation skills, and requires background checks and transcripts as part of the process. Starting immediately, it is a non-exempt, day shift position with a comprehensive benefits overview described in the district

Qualifications

• Documentation verifying a high school diploma or GED required.
• One of: official transcripts for an Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits; or ETS ParaPro score 455+.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with implementing IEP goals and objectives.
• Manage classroom behavior and support individual or small groups.
• Provide instructional assistance and prepare materials as directed.
• Assist with data collection, grading, and record-keeping as assigned.
• Support students with diverse needs and maintain confidentiality.
