Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools seeks a Special Program Paraeducator 2 for the Integrated Communication & Sensory Program. This one-on-one role supports students for 6.5 hours per day, nine months per year, with non-exempt status.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and additional credits orParaPro credentials are preferred. Experience in education and teamwork is valued, along with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits or ETS ParaPro 455+
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Successful experience in an educational team preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher to implement goals and student IEPs.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students.
• Monitor and collect data as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with materials preparation and data recording.
• Follow behavior management plans and ensure student safety.
