Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support 1:1 ABA therapy for children on the autism spectrum under supervision of a BCBA. The role focuses on skill acquisition and data collection to track progress.

Candidates must be RBT certified or commit to completing a 40-hour ABA course and pass the RBT exam within 45 days of employment. Center-based, Monday–Friday, with hourly pay between $18 and $24.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification with TB test as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
• RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour ABA training and sit for the RBT exam within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed protocols for skill acquisition and behavioral reduction.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with treatment plans.
• Complete documentation on time and per procedures.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as directed by the supervising BCBA/BC.
