Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage full set of accounts, including invoicing, receipts updates, vendor invoice processing, payment arrangements, journal entries, inter-company charges, bank reconciliation, balance sheet schedules, fixed assets registers, and general ledger maintenance.
2. Manage month-end closing process and ensure all month-end journals, AP, and AR sections are closed promptly.
3. Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
4. Prepare monthly financial statements for management reporting.
5. Prepare and review all Balance Sheet Schedules and control accounts, including bank reconciliations.
6. Liaise with external/internal auditors and tax agents as required.
7. Handle and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, audits, and tax filings (e.g., GST).
8. Liaise with the company secretary as required for statutory and regulatory compliance.
9. Plan and control the company's cash flow, funding, and budget allocation.
10. Assist with forecasting and budgeting exercises.
11. Support the implementation of new processes and systems.
12. Support the Finance Department in ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks.

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the dormitory or hospitality industry.
3. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
4. Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
5. Experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
6. Strong understanding of Singapore financial regulations, tax laws, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Meticulous with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
10. Clear and effective communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external parties such as auditors and tax agents.
