Job summary
A leading legal firm in Singapore seeks a technical specialist for custom AI development and integration into their legal services. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field and 3-5 years of experience in software development or a related discipline. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong programming skills, especially in AI/ML, and excels in communication. Responsibilities include developing AI tools, ensuring system integration, and supporting users. This position offers the chance to innovate in a dynamic legal environment.
Qualifications

- Proven ability to manage big data using analytical tools.
- Experience in mobile app and full stack development.
Responsibilities
- Custom AI Development for legal work.
- Integrate AI tools with existing systems.
- Conduct testing to ensure solution effectiveness.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Provide training and ongoing support to users.
- Research and innovate with emerging technologies.
Skills
Education
- Work closely with lawyers and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement generative AI tools to support legal work and other business use cases.
- Fine-tune large language models for legal-specific applications where required or applicable.
- Analyse business requirements and develop other custom software applications or tools that enhance legal processes and improve efficiency.
- Integrate generative AI tools and other custom solutions with existing systems and ensure seamless functionality across various platforms.
- Develop APIs and workflows for integration across platforms.
- Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure functionality, reliability, and user satisfaction. This includes ensuring AI models adhere to compliance, confidentiality and data security standards.
- Gather feedback, iterate and improve performance.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including user guides and technical specifications.
Provide training and ongoing support to users.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and legal tech trends to continually identify opportunities for innovation within the firm.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. A law degree or legal experience will be advantageous.
- 3 to 5 years of technical experience in a software development, systems analyst or related discipline preferably in the legal industry or a professional services environment.
- Proven track record of managing big data / data mining using analytical tools.
- Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks, with understanding and ability to implement emerging technologies, distributed and highly scalable computing architecture, multi-cloud, hybrid, server‑less computing and advanced analytics; big data and machine learning technologies; and workflow methodologies.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Swift, Go) and familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools.
- Experience with training large language models.
- Experience in mobile app / full stack development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
