A non-profit organization in Singapore seeks a Welfare Assistant to oversee the well-being of female residents aged 15 to 21. Responsibilities include daily supervision, establishing relationships, and engaging residents to improve their behavior. Applicants should have a minimum of 4-5 years' experience and a willingness to learn trauma-informed care. This shift-based role is open to female candidates, including part-timers and night shift staff.
Methodist Welfare Services (MWS) is all about empowering people to have life to the full.
We are a non-profit organisation serving people across all ethnicities and religions. We recognise that the people we serve may experience poverty in different ways – weak social support or fractured relationships, poor health, a sense of hopelessness, or a lack of means. We journey alongside them to uncover their inherent strengths, affirm them, and support them holistically towards a better life. While MWS’ sphere of impact has expanded since our founding, our core spirit of social holiness remains unwavering. Today, we serve over 22,000 beneficiaries, including children from disadvantaged backgrounds, youths at risk, families in distress, socially isolated seniors, and the chronically ill and destitute.
MWS Girls’ Residence is a residential home, housing vulnerable children and youths referred by the Ministry of Social and Family Development or other Social Service Organisations. We aim to create transformation and positive changes in behaviour through a holistic and therapeutic framework.
