Job summary

A leading workforce management firm in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety & Health Officer to conduct site safety audits and manage contractor compliance. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health and at least 5 years of experience. Conduct site safety audit inspections, monitor and drive contractors’ close-out of safety violations

  • Identify foreseeable risks and hazards at the worksite and in relation to workactivities and work sequence, and assess the suitability of contractors’ riskcontrol measures
  • Review contractors’ method statements, risk assessments, and safe workprocedures, and recommend and implement practicable measures and safe workprocedures
  • Facilitate investigation processes and report to the WSH Manager on allincidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Liaise with main contractor representatives, subcontractors, and relevantauthorities on safety matters
  • Monitor follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance and close outinspection findings and observations
  • Ensure SMM implementation and compliance due to COVID-19 or any otherpandemic outbreaks
  • Inculcate a safe working environment and promote positive safety culture andtraining
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager
Requirements
  • Diplomain Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a WSHO
  • MOM-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a good team player
  • Able to manage contractors and consultants
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance, meet tight deadlines, andreport effectively to the WSH Manager
  • Comfortable working at a construction site in the western side of Singapore
