Job summary

A safety and construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee cable works and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in the construction or utilities sector, holds a valid WSH Officer certification, and possesses strong workplace safety knowledge. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, leading safety initiatives, and reporting on safety performance. The role requires a positive attitude, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Cable Works under SPPG projects and ensure full compliance with safety regulations.
  • Identify potential hazards or safety issues and implement effective preventive and corrective actions.
  • Lead and guide site personnel in promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to company safety standards.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure all unsafe acts or conditions are promptly rectified.
  • Compile and maintain safety records, incident reports, and inspection findings.
  • Prepare and submit monthly safety reports to management and clients as required.
  • Liaise with project management, client representatives, and subcontractors to coordinate safety activities.
  • Ensure compliance with WSH Act, SPPG safety requirements, and company HSE procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction or utilities
  • Valid WSH Officer recognized by MOM.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to work 6 days per week and willing to be stationed on-site.
  • Good leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
