Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Warehouse Solutions Specialist to support our aerospace teardown operations. This role involves overseeing inventory management, ensuring accurate handling and storage of aircraft parts, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a clean and safe facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills to manage warehouse systems and equipment tracking effectively, as well as expertise in maintaining and operating lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory and Stock Management:

• Receive and process incoming parts, supplies and equipment and verifying their accuracy and condition, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

• Record and track inventory in the inventory management system.

• Conduct routine stock audits to ensure accuracy and availability of parts, and reporting any discrepancies or issues to management.

2. Logistics and Shipping Coordination:

• Prepare and package parts for shipment with appropriate documentation, ensuring that they are packed and labelled correctly.

• Monitor and report on the status of shipments to ensure timely delivery.

• Ensure compliance with international shipping and export regulations.

3. Facility and Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Inspect, operate, and oversee maintenance of lifting equipment and tools.

• Identify and report facility or equipment issues and coordinate necessary repairs.

4. IT Systems and Process Optimization:

• Utilize IT tools, including warehouse management systems, to track inventory and monitor operations.

• Generate reports on stock levels, shipping status, and equipment usage.

• Implement and optimize processes for inventory handling and warehouse efficiency.

5. Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to company and regulatory standards for storing and handling aircraft parts.

• Ensure safety protocols are followed when lifting or moving heavy components.

• Report discrepancies, safety concerns, or non-compliance issues promptly.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with teardown, procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams.

• Provide updates and insights on inventory, shipments, and operational improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in aerospace or a similar industry.

• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and inventory software.

• Knowledge of handling and storing high-value, sensitive components.

• Ability to operate and maintain lifting equipment (certifications preferred).

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

• Basic understanding of international shipping regulations and customs processes.

• Physical fitness to handle warehouse tasks, including lifting and moving components.

• Forklift or lifting equipment certification is advantageous.
