Job summary

A financial services company located in Singapore seeks an experienced Business/System Analyst with 7-10 years of experience in banking or consultancy. The candidate should possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The role includes planning development activities, gathering requirements, supporting testing procedures, and providing user training. Knowledge in the CLM domain and Fenergo products is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 – 10 years' experience as Business/System Analyst in a financial institution or consultancy.
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Technical background with understanding of SDLC cycle is a nice to have.
  • CLM domain knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Fenergo product is an advantage.

Job description

The Japan Research Institute (JRI) Limited is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Group. JRI provides comprehensive, highly value-added information services through the coordinated application of its 3 functions. i.e. information systems, consulting and think-tank. As a system integrator, JRI offers services in IT strategy planning, implementation and outsourcing to a broad range of industries and activities. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.

Responsibilities
Planning
  • Plan for development activities and provide effort estimates.
Requirement Gathering
  • To discuss and work with users to understand, analyze, validate user/business/system requirements to determine the project requirements.
  • Translate compliance requirements into clear, actionable specifications for technical teams or vendors.
Analysis and design
  • Perform functional impact analysis and risk assessment to examine and evaluate existing vs. to-be processes.
  • Design functional solutions aligned with CLM workflows and Fenergo capabilities and work with Technical Leads to determine and identify any technical constraints and limitations to the proposed solutions.
Documentation
  • Document functional specifications of the proposed solutions, obtain user confirmation on the requirements, buy-in of the proposed solutions and official signoff. This includes any other supplementary documents as required.
Product Configuration
  • Configure the policy rule sets, workflows, data mappings, and UI behavior ensuring high-quality and alignment with CLM workflows.
Analysis
  • Analyzedata and screening results to support tuning and optimization initiatives.
System Testing
  • Support test activities to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements and testing coverage is met.
  • Assist in integration test and user acceptance test.
User training
  • Prepare training materials, conduct user training and support to end users to ensure that they are able to effectively use systems.
Incident support
  • Provide technical support in resolving incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis.
BAU
  • Timely elevate issues to PM of any challengers and issues.
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin. With good command of English both verbal and written.
  • Min. 7 – 10 years' experiencing working as Business/ System Analyst in a bank, FI or a consultancy company.
