Responsibilities:
- Acts as the primary operations point of contact (24/7) for assigned equipment.
- Responsible for preparation and communication of voyage orders, and further instructions.
- Handles vessel/ cargo stowage agency nominations and or appointments, and communications.
- Ensures all assigned voyages are performed as defined by company-standardized voyage orders.
- Ensure all emails are correctly tagged as per the process for working in SEDNA.
- Ensure accurate capture of voyage details in IMOS and other systems, as applicable.
- Interface with Commercial schedulers, charterer, agents, terminal, vessel/barge owners/operators and tanker brokers in respect of voyages to and from 3rd party customers.
- Interaction with Marine Assurance to maintain minimal exposure for cargoes and assets
- Work with Loss Control to eliminate or minimise any impairment in cargo quality or quantity.
- Monitor vessel’s bunker ROB and consumption for heating, tank cleaning and ECA zone consumption.
- Manage all aspects of voyage costs and cargo documentation related to Operations.
- Verify and approve Hire payments, freight invoices and all other secondary voyage costs.
- Represent the company with carriers, terminal personnel, and/or other internal/external contacts in a professional manner.
- Possess a firm understanding of the Global Vessel Incident Reporting & Crisis Monitoring Plan and ensure duties are performed as per the “On Call Incident Report Manual”.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Broad understanding of marine transportation business, including marine logistics, dispatching, and general marine transportation processes.
- Experienced with Dry Bulk operations.
- Possesses a fundamental understanding of marine risk and exposures to marine liability.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, planning and organizational skills.
- Works effectively in teams with a strong desire for personal learning and sharing of knowledge with others.
