Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Singapore is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance. The role includes managing a workshop team, evaluating contracts for vehicle maintenance, and ensuring operational effectiveness. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a degree/diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Class 4 driving license are also required.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel / PowerPoint / Words).
  • Technically inclined with Heavy vehicle knowledge.

Job description
Purpose and Scope

Responsible for Fleet maintenance from maintenance, repair till refurbishment works. You will work closely with the workshop & vendor to ensure all key task maintenance is handled in a timely and professional manner.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the vehicle workshop team in supporting Operations.
  • Manage all contractual vehicle maintenance (including tyres) contractors
  • Manage the vehicles and operational assets in the most cost-effective way.
  • Devise the most cost-effective vehicle/equipment replacement plan.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and propose modification of existing equipment for operational improvement.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and propose suitable/cost effective for purchase/lease of vehicles/equipment.
  • Sending of vehicles to workshops for repairs.
  • Responsible for asset management and provide monthly report for Fleet performance
  • Manage contractors at all depots on vehicle/equipment repair.
  • Responsible for Accidents, Occurrences & Fines (AOF) report.
  • Responsible for all asset requisition.
  • Responsible for accident management and insurance claim.
  • Responsible for tyre management
Qualification, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel / PowerPoint / Words)
  • Technically inclined with Heavy vehicle knowledge with the technical know how
  • Class 4 driving license
