Job description

Overview

The client is establishing a 300mm semiconductor wafer manufacturing facility in Singapore. Below position is open urgently.

Position: Associate Engineer (Process/Equipment)

Location: East Singapore

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working Pattern: 12-hour Rotating Shift

Role Summary

This role will be part of the operations team, ensuring smooth wafer fabrication processes across modules such as Dry/Wet Etch, Photolithography, Diffusion, CMP, CVD, or PVD.

You will play a key role in driving equipment performance, uptime, and process stability, supporting continuous improvement in a highly dynamic wafer fab environment.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure equipment uptime, productivity, and continuous improvement (CIP).
2. Perform preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repair to sustain production line stability.
3. Manage spare parts and maintenance planning to ensure operational readiness.
4. Work closely with Engineers to analyze issues and implement corrective actions.
5. Drive initiatives to improve machine performance and enhance equipment capability.
6. Comply with cleanroom protocols and safety regulations while working in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

1. Diploma or ITE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, or other Engineering-related disciplines.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor wafer fab as an Associate Engineer (process or equipment).
3. Prior experience in a 12-inch (300mm) wafer fab is an advantage.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
5. Willingness to work rotating shifts including night shifts.
6. A self-starter with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
