Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Critical Power & Electrical Systems: Uninterruptable Power Supply, Battery Systems, Power Distribution, lighting, electrical DB design.
  • Cooling Systems (Mechanical): CRAC/CRAH Cooling, Dehumidifier, ACMV, water piping, refrigerant piping, and ventilation systems.
  • Fire Suppression Systems: Gas Suppression systems (NOVEC, FM200, Inert Gas), sprinkler system, heat/smoke detection, VESDA.
  • Builders Work: Raised floor system, false ceiling, structural load spreaders.
Technical Pre‑Sales Support
  1. Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify client needs and understand customer requirements.
  2. To propose tailored UPS/DC power solutions and to provide technical support during the sales process.
  3. Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application, conduct technical product training or workshops with consultants and customers.
Solution Design
  1. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and load analysis to recommend optimal power backup and distribution designs.
  2. Analyse client requirements, develop and propose tailored technical solutions that align with their business goals, and demonstrate the features and value proposition of our products/services.
  3. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and solution demonstrations for clients.
  4. Ensure solution compliance with industry standards, power regulations, and client specifications.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Serve as the technical point of contact for customers throughout the pre‑sales process.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to develop competitive and innovative UPS/DC solutions.
  3. Conduct customer training, workshops, and technical Q&A sessions on UPS and DC infrastructure.
  4. Address client concerns and technical queries to support deal closure and project execution.Manage and coordinate with key vendors and partners to gain their competitive support in all projects.
  5. Identify new projects and propose design or product specs to customer's needs.
  6. Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, consultants, vendors and partners.
  7. Key account strategy planning and business development to meet annual targets.
  8. Develop new product that has market demand and assist to do marketing in new product to drive more sales.
Technical Expertise & Optimization
  1. Travel to project sites survey, witness start‑up, integration, and training session when necessary.
  2. Assist in designing UPS sizing, battery backup strategies, power distribution, and redundancy planning.
  3. Stay updated with emerging power backup technologies, energy efficiency trends, and data centre innovations.
  4. Provide recommendations for scalability, energy efficiency, and total cost optimization of power solutions.
  5. Support the preparation of RFPs, RFQs, and tenders, ensuring technical compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in solution management or related turnkey solutions in a Data Centre environment / Engineering & Building Services Industry.
  • Self‑driven with initiative.
  • Proven and strong interpersonal skills to communicate well with customers, colleagues and vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Auto‑Cad.
  • Read architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of enterprise infrastructure control systems and network communications technology – Internet, Intranet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc. will be a plus.
