A leading engineering company in Singapore is looking for a Tunnel cum EMS Engineer. This role involves planning, supervision, and monitoring of tunnelling operations. The ideal candidate should have a recognized engineering degree and 6 to 8 years of experience in EMS or TBM bored tunnelling, particularly with large diameter projects. This position requires working in shifts and collaborating with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Tunnel cum EMS Engineer produces work plan and supervises the bored tunnelling work to deliver the product to the requirement of the project. He/she is expected to work well with the teammates to achieve the shared goals. Working in shifts (Day/Night) will be required.

Essential Job Functions

The Tunnel cum EMS Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Provide planning of tunnelling operation from safety, quality, and productivity viewpoint.


• Provide engineering supervision to bored tunnelling operation, including final ring selection and selection of key.


• Full-time monitoring of the EMS (Deviation flow by floe meters, Total volume by flow meters, Dry volume or Dry mass by density and flow meters, Dry mass by belt weigher plus calculation of fine content, Dry volume by measurement at muck pit plus calculation of fine content, etc.) during tunnelling.


• Ensure the work is done in compliant with the protocol established for the project.


• Coordinate with project stakeholders.


• Report to Tunnel Manager / Deputy Tunnel Manager / Sr Tunnel Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications / Job Experience

• Recognized bachelor’s degree in engineering.


• Minimum 6 to 8 years of EMS Engineers experience (or TBM bored tunnelling experience).


• Large diameter (over 10m diameter) bored tunnelling experience.
