Job summary

Job description

Our client is an established organization in the Maritime sector, they are actively recruiting for a Training Officer (HSEQ) to join them and support in the execution of HSE programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the HSEQ Manager, including the planning, administration, and tracking of HSE training and educational initiatives.
  • Assist in shipboard validation activities to assess and confirm the effective implementation of theSafety Management System.
  • Oversee the execution of HSE programs (such as seminars, campaigns, and workshops), ensuring timelyreporting and proper documentation.
  • Administer key HSE programs, including safe systems of work, incident/injury/illness reportingand investigation, and risk and hazard identification and assessment.
  • Compile and prepare HSEQ reports by collecting, analyzing, and monitoring data trends, while maintainingaccurate HSEQ statistics and submitting reports as required.
  • Maintain HSE and training databases, perform HSEQ data entry in SharePoint, and manage compliancerecords, including tracking closure of non-conformities, corrective action, crew drug and alcohol testing results.
  • Manage and maintain HSEQ departmental documentation, manuals, records, and libraries.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits, inspections, and inquiries, ensuring the validity and completeness of all certifications.
  • Provide administrative support for HSEQ meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Marine Engineering or a related discipline (maritime or engineering qualificationspreferred).
  • Minimally 2 years of relevant experience in the oil trading industry or a comparable HSEQ-relatedrole.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable and professional with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
