Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Trade Compliance Specialist (1 year contract)

1. Regional Trade Compliance Support

  • Monitor APAC countries’ import/export activities to ensure adherence to company policies and trade regulations.

  • Consolidate and review compliance-related data and reports from country operations.

  • Support regional HS classification maintenance, including updates and validation projects.

  • Assist with the preparation of regional metrics, dashboards, and compliance KPIs.

  • Support saving opportunities project.

2. Regulatory Research & Guidance

  • Research regulatory updates and maintain an up-to-date repository of APAC customs and trade compliance requirements.

  • Provide guidance to country SCM and Customer Service teams on compliance questions, escalating complex issues to the Manager.

  • Support the preparation and review of FTA documentation and other trade agreement compliance activities.

3. Audit & Process Improvement

  • Assist in planning and execution of internal trade compliance audits across APAC countries.

  • Track and follow up on audit findings and corrective action plans.

  • Participate in projects to standardize and improve trade compliance processes across the region.

4. Training & Awareness

  • Support development of training materials and facilitate knowledge sharing across country teams.

  • Promote compliance culture through regular communication and updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3–5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or supply chain compliance in a regional or multicountry environment

  • Preferably with internal audit experience or experience working with external vendor for auditing

  • Strong understanding of HS classification, FTA rules of origin, and import/export regulatory frameworks in APAC

  • Proficiency with MS Office/Teams; SAP knowledge a plus

  • Strong analytical and data management skills

  • Effective communicator, able to work cross-functionally across multiple countries

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
