Job summary

A semiconductor equipment company is seeking a technician responsible for sub-assembly, mechanical alignment, and testing of equipment. The ideal candidate will perform equipment testing according to work procedures, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality in semiconductor production. Applicants should have at least 1 year of relevant experience and strong troubleshooting skills. Opportunities for process improvement also exist within the role, with regular working hours from 8:15 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year relevant working experience in semiconductor equipment build and testing.
• Able to operate CMM measuring machine is a plus.

Position overview

Responsible for sub-assembly, mechanical alignment and testing of equipment.

Main job Scope

Equipment testing according to work procedures, ensuring equipment functionality, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a high level of quality in production of semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

1. Mechanical component alignment and fine tuning.
2. Implement customer-provided setup protocols and test procedures for manufacturing equipment.
3. Execute testing processes to ensure equipment functionality, performance and adherence to specifications together with senior testers.
4. Review test results with senior testers and customers to identify anomalies, defects, or equipment performance issues.

Technical troubleshooting

1. Troubleshot component malfunctions, identify and report root causes, implement remedy actions.
2. Collaborate with Engineering team to resolve technical issues and improve equipment reliability.

Document and Reporting

Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, test results, checklists and equipment configurations.

Process Improvement

Participate actively in process improvement for manufacturing and testing.

Qualification and traits desired

1. Minimum 1 year relevant working experience in semiconductor equipment build and testing.
2. Proficiency in vacuum test equipment operation, data analysis, and technical troubleshooting of components.
