A prominent aerospace technology company in Singapore seeks a Technician to assist with Taping and Laser Operations. The role involves routine maintenance, inspection, and collaboration with engineers to process aerospace components efficiently. Ideal candidates possess a Diploma in Engineering and may have some relevant technical experience. The company provides training for those without experience. The position includes rotating shifts and offers a competitive salary with additional shift allowances.
Technician Exp
Apply aluminum tape to aerospace components
Remove and clean the components using abrasives and chemical
Work with Laser Engineers and Quality Inspectors to process customer's part
Assist in receiving, inspecting and shipping of newly received and finish processed parts
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment
Control and perform preventive maintenance routines
Manual loading and unloading of critical aerospace component
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with process control standards
Read and interpret technical documentation, including work instructions, data cards, and KPIs
Assist Laser Operators in running control strips according to data cards and interpreting the results
Manually load and unload aerospace components into robotic processing stations
Collaborate with Laser Operators and Technicians to process aerospace parts efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Cross‑check rectification points on rectification sheets with those programmed to prevent laser contact with exposed metal surfaces
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain control parameters critical to the laser peening process
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace components and verify processing parameters based on customer specifications
Ensure timely deliveries by maintaining product conformity and service quality
Communicate effectively with the production team and contribute to performance management processes
Conduct periodic inspections and calibration of precision tools, ensuring accurate records are maintained
Maintain current versions of customer specifications, drawings, and inspection records
Ensure proper tagging and identification of processed components as agreed with the customer
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Perform hands‑on inspections aligned with customer requirements and interpret associated documentation (drawings, specifications, data cards, etc.)
Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues
Promote a safe working environment and contribute to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives in collaboration with the Quality Manager, Division Manager, and customers
