AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.

AI Singapore is sourcing for an individual to join the AI Talent and Ecosystem team as a Technical Program Manager. This person will be a critical member of the team, and will work with key stakeholders to plan, design, deliver, implement, and manage strategic programs, initiatives and projects that are aligned with AISG's mandate.

Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage multiple student talent development programmes, with aim to enhance Singapore's research, innovation and enterprise ecosystem in AI.
  • Plan and deliver an Introductory AI Research course for student, coordinating curriculum development, instructors/mentors, and delivery to support progressive student engagement.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to design strategic initiatives, programs and projects in AI and data science.
  • Develop partnerships and maintain relationships across key stakeholders from academia and industry.
  • Support the team in exploring potential collaborations across diverse domains, with local and global, research and industry groups.
  • Monitor progress of existing programs to ensure that they are executed smoothly and communicate regular progress updates.
Qualifications

Technical skillsets are not required but you must be sufficiently familiar with AI, data science, and/or technology in general to be able to converse credibly with academics and technical experts.

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Knowledge of AI or Data Science is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years working experience in conceptualizing, implementing, and/or managing technology-related research projects or programs.
  • Possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Resourceful and proactive, able to identify opportunities and work around ambiguity.
  • Formal pedagogical background and experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with engaging government agencies on projects and collaborations, or international partnerships, is advantageous.
  • Experience with research grant management or public policy design is a bonus.
