Project Planning & Technical Management
- Develop complete electrical work plans, schedules, and resource allocation for new and ongoing projects.
- Review and approve electrical design drawings, SLDs, load schedules, cable sizing, and technical submissions.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with SS/CP standards, EMA requirements, SCDF regulations, and WSH guidelines.
Electrical Installation & Supervision
Guide the site team through installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems such as:
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- ELV systems
- Earthing & lightning protection
- Control panels and switchboards
Verify quality of installation works through periodic inspections and audits.
Troubleshooting & Technical Solutions
- Lead diagnosis of complex electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Carry out root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Provide technical support during equipment testing and commissioning.
Stakeholder & Client Coordination
- Liaise with consultants, clients, main contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
- Attend project/site meetings and provide technical clarifications.
- Prepare weekly progress updates and technical evaluation reports.
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Ensure work follows WSH Act, Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures, and risk assessments.
- Prepare electrical testing reports, O&M manuals, handover documents, and as-built drawings.
- Support LEW submissions whenever required.
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and electricians.
- Conduct technical training and competency development.
- Monitor manpower productivity and performance.
Procurement & Material Management
- Evaluate electrical materials, equipment specifications, and vendor quotations.
- Work with procurement to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
- Verify supplier compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical installation, project management, or M&E technical leadership.
- Strong knowledge of local codes, EMA regulations, electrical safety, and authority submission requirements.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
