Seeking Visionary Head of Engineering

We are seeking a visionary and experienced head to lead the engineering department responsible for the end-to-end development of cutting-edge cybersecurity products. This leader will drive the architecture, engineering execution, and delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable solutions, aligning with product strategy and business objectives. He/she will foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on innovation, technical excellence, and secure software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term engineering strategy for cybersecurity product development.
• Own architectural decisions ensuring scalability, performance, security and maintainable systems.
• Champion secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices across the engineering teams.
• Stay abreast of cyber threat trends and evolving technologies, guiding technical direction accordingly.

• Oversee the full product development lifecycle; design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with product management to align engineering efforts with market and customer needs.
• Ensure timely and high-quality product releases with a focus on security, reliability and user experience.

• Embed security-first principles in product design and development processes.
• Ensure products meet relevant industry standards and compliance framework (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Work with internal security teams on threat modelling, vulnerability management and incident response preparedness.

• Implement engineering best practices (Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, observability, test automation).
• Establish metrics and KPIs for engineering velocity, quality and security.
• Optimize tooling, infrastructure and development workflows for efficiency and scale.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong background in cybersecurity products or platforms (e.g., threat detection, IAM, SIEM, endpoint protection, etc.).
• Expertise in secure software development, cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, and modern tech stacks (e.g., containers, microservices, Python/Go/Java, AWS/Azure).
• Experience with compliance, data privacy, and security certifications.

Leadership & Management

• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing, geographically distributed engineering teams across functions (backend, frontend, DevSecOps, QA).
• Strong execution skills with experience delivering complex software products at scale.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strategic thinking with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.
