This role offers the opportunity to lead the regional client coverage strategy for Global Banking Singapore’s Regional / Inbound Desk. The primary mandate is to manage and deepen existing client relationships while driving new business development among regional, multinational, and inbound corporates. The role reports directly to the Head of Client Coverage, Global Banking Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand a portfolio of regional corporate clients, serving as the primary contact for C-suite executives and driving overall account strategy.
- Develop and execute tailored banking solutions across financing, investment banking, trade, treasury, and cash management products to meet clients’ strategic and operational needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and the wider Maybank network to identify and capture cross-border and cross-product opportunities.
- Lead the origination and execution of complex transactions, including structured financing, loan syndications, M&A advisory, and debt capital market deals.
- Maintain oversight of credit proposals, documentation, and ongoing risk management to ensure portfolio quality and compliance.
- Drive client engagement and deepen relationships through proactive cross-selling and strategic discussions on business growth and financing needs.
- Leverage the Bank’s regional franchise to deliver integrated solutions and maximize client value.
Requirements
- A recognized degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience in corporate and investment banking.
- Proven track record in managing MNC or regional corporate accounts, with exposure to ASEAN markets such as China, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines being an advantage.
- Strong financial and credit analysis skills, with solid understanding of corporate finance, banking products, and loan/security documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to originate, structure, and execute complex financing and capital market transactions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead deal teams effectively.
- Independent, results-driven, and commercially astute in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Collaborative team player who fosters trust and builds strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
