Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Planning:
- Develop and maintain the integrated project roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overarching core banking transformation strategy.
- Drive the planning, work breakdown, and scheduling of multiple sub-streams, including platform builds and data source onboarding.
- Work with business and IT leadership to define project scopes, secure budget approvals, and establish success criteria.
- Lead end-to-end project management for major project such as ISO20022, and operational support for TBCS, ADE, ensuring alignment local regulatory and head office HOP standards.
Project Execution & Delivery:
- Implement a robust project management framework to track schedules, timelines, and progress using tools like JIRA or MS Project.
- Organize regular check-ins with internal and vendor teams to monitor and support project progress.
- Ensure successful project delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed-upon quality standards by overseeing project teams.
Governance, Risk, & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance to governance and risk frameworks.
- Maintain and update the RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Manage the end-to-end SDLC process, from initiation to closure, ensuring all stages are completed successfully.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Prepare and present status reports, executive summaries, and project dashboards to various audiences, ranging from technical teams to senior leadership.
Key Deliverables
The Senior Consultant will be accountable for the following:
- Process Compliance:
- Comply to the compliance process, ensuring compliance from initiation to closure.
- Resource & Financial Management:
- Oversee financials of accurate budget tracking and forecasting for initiatives.
- Comprehensive Status Reporting & Project Dashboards:
- Regular, transparent, and data-driven reporting on IT initiatives, including progress against plan, budget variance, resource utilization, and risk status.
- Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 5-10+ years of experience in technology project management, specifically managing large-scale, multi-year projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services, with a strong focus on data management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale data projects (e.g., ISO20022, and operational support for TBCS, ADE).
- Working knowledge of SDLC and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivery and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
