Job description
What the role is:

As a Sound Designer in the Educational Technology Division, you will create audio products effectively to support curriculum, assessment, professional development and corporate communications.

What you will be working on:
  • Record, edit and mix audio tracks such as vocal, music and sound effects, including enhancing sound quality to requirement
  • Create, manipulate and layer sounds to support the narrative of stories
  • Interpret story ideas and craft audio to fully bring stories to life
  • Synchronise videos with audio tracks
  • Experiment with and integrate AI-powered sound design tools to improve workflow efficiency
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the sound engineering of media industry
  • Proficiency in using audio hardware and software such as Pro Tools, Izotope and Waves plugins
  • Familiarity with audio recording, editing and mixing including the use of recording equipment such as mixing consoles, sound systems, speakers, amplifiers and signal processors
  • Strong understanding of various signal processing techniques and effects, such as equalisation, compression, reverb, delay and modulation
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during recording or mixing
  • Experience with AI-assisted audio software (e.g., for noise reduction, dialogue processing, or sound synthesis) would be an advantage
  • Energetic and innovative, preferably with a keen interest in creative storytelling and adaptation to new audio technologies
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work well with people with diverse background
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams in a fast-paced environment
