A global technology company in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of cloud networking solutions. In this role, you will recruit, mentor, and manage a new engineering team, execute technical strategies, and oversee the design of large-scale systems. In this role, you will build and operate (with SRE support) Cloud Interconnect, which virtualizes our edge and backbone, and allows enterprise customers to connect their on-premises data centers/networks to GCP at 100 and 10 Gb/s speed. Interconnect has been one of the key features for GCP to onboard large enterprises and as such is a high impact project. You will also span in connecting smaller customers through partners, as well as building ultra-low-latency interconnects in order for customers to be able to use large file stores and databases operated by third-parties, adjacent to (but not within) Google data centers. You will manage complexity from physical networks and routers through cloud virtualization.
You will help grow and manage a team in Hybrid Networking and Cloud Interconnect, a developer team with a strong and rapidly growing Cloud Product, lots of really interesting technical work, and interesting operational requirements.
