The Sensors Division undertakes research and development in a wide range of sensor technologies, including radar, acoustics, electro-optics and underwater, to provide the SAF with a recognised battlefield situation picture.

Software Engineer (Sensors)

In this role, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to architect, optimise and refactor ML and Image Processing algorithms for deployment via containers
  • Engage in the end-to-end development lifecycle of software solutions, from eliciting requirements to developing, testing, deploying and iteratively improving systems to meet user needs and mission objectives
  • Conduct security scanning to identify and rectify software vulnerabilities (e.g. CVEs)
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure provider to put cutting edge algorithms into the secured production environment
  • Document and train end users on the use of the delivered software solutions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Software Engineering
  • Experience in programming skills such as Python, C++ and Javascript
  • Experience in Containerization and Image processing. Experience in signal processing is a bonus
  • Experience in Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodology
  • Experience in containerization using Docker or equivalent
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps concept and toolchains. Experience is a bonus
