Overview

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government Technology Agency (GovTech). We run an internal government application serving the whole of government. Our teams work in a cloud-native, AWS-based environment, building with Python, Node.js, and Go, and delivering modern frontend applications with frameworks like Vue.js. We move fast, stay agile, and adapt to ever-changing requirements and scope.

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Software Engineer (Generalist) to join our dynamic team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend and frontend systems.
• Build reliable and secure services using Python, Node.js, and Go.
• Develop user-facing features with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. Vue.js, React, or similar).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner agencies to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Operate services on AWS, leveraging cloud-native services and infrastructure as code.
• Debug, optimize, and improve performance of applications and workflows.
• Uphold high standards in code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience. Candidate with more experienced can be considered for a Senior Engineer role.
• Strong foundation in any coding language.
• Experience building and shipping production-grade applications.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Good understanding of system design, scalability, and security best practices.
• Comfortable working across the stack – frontend, backend, and infra.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and LLM-based solutions (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, code generation, or AI-assisted debugging) to accelerate development.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with evolving requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
