Overview

Job Summary:

A Site Engineer plays a pivotal role in managing and executing infrastructure, fit-out, and facilities-related projects across corporate office environments. This position is responsible for ensuring daily operations/ project delivery with a focus on safety, quality, and cost-efficiency, while also managing vendor relationships, contract compliance, and supporting the annual facilities and project budget.

• Working Hours: 9am – 6pm (5.5 days)

Key Responsibilities
  1. Site Execution & Workplace Project Delivery
    • Oversee on-site technical execution of fit-out, renovation, maintenance, infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and capital improvements in live corporate environments.
    • Coordinate day-to-day site activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business functions during operations/ project execution.
    • Monitor construction quality, adherence to design specifications, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  2. Team Leadership & People Management
    • Directly manage junior engineers/ technicians.
    • Provide coaching, skill development, and performance feedback to drive team efficiency and growth.
    • Plan resource allocation, shift management, and support succession planning for key technical roles.
  3. Vendor & Contractor Management
    • Oversee all on-site vendor and contractor activities, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery in line with contractual obligations.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
    • Support sourcing and onboarding of new vendors in collaboration with procurement and facilities teams.
    • Assist in drafting technical scopes, managing bid processes, and executing contracts in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.
  4. Budget Planning & Cost Control
    • Provide input into the annual capital and operational budget for workplace projects and ongoing facilities management.
    • Track project costs, validate vendor invoices, and support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
    • Raise purchase requisitions (PRs) and support invoice processing and tracking against budgets.
  5. Workplace Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure all workplace activities follow safety protocols, fire regulations, and local building codes.
    • Conduct safety walks, site inspections, and coordinate rectification of non-compliance issues.
    • Support periodic facility and EHS audits.
  6. Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain up-to-date site reports, operation trackers, as-built drawings, warranties, handover documents, and snag lists.
    • Provide regular progress reports to internal stakeholders and escalate risks or delays proactively.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work closely with stakeholders to coordinate office space readiness and facilities enhancements.
    • Support workplace changes such as seat expansions, departmental moves, or refreshes.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a corporate real estate, or office infrastructure.
  • Has a strong understanding of day-to-day site activities and can manage the site with limited supervision.
  • Should be capable of working across different types of work packages: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or structural (as needed by the workplace).
  • Exposure to managing contractors and vendors in an office or commercial real estate environment.
  • Must have worked closely with senior engineers, facility managers, or main contractors, providing day-to-day technical support and coordination.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of MEP services, HVAC system, Critical equipment (Generator, UPS, CRAC, Inergen gas suppression system), Fire protection system, BMS systems, Structured cabling, office interiors, and building infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (PPT, Excel, AutoCAD) and documentation systems.
