Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the finance operations (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables and General Ledger) across the SEA region (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand)
- Deliver and ensure timely and accurate month end and year end close
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports and analyses
- Overseethe preparation and submission of statutory accounts
- Act as the primary Finance liaison for all sites in SEA
- Lead, develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Review, implement and improve Finance workflows to strengthen internal controls and compliance
- Drive standardisation, automation and improvements in financial processes and controls to enhance efficiencies
- Oversee tax and regulatory filings, working closely with the tax agents and local authorities to manage compliance and audit processes
- Liaise and coordinate with external auditors to support audits and ensure timely submission of statutory financial statements and filings
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
- At least 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably in Manufacturing or Logistics, with at least 3 years in leading a team
- Experience with managing manufacturing sites in Malaysia and familiarity with tax and regulatory requirements in Malaysia will be highly preferred
- Experience with process optimization/improvements will be advantageous
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, hands-on with a mindset geared towards transformation, standardization, automation and efficiency
- Attention to details and technical expertise in accounting are essential
- Strong team player
- Advanced MS Excel skills
