Job summary

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and manage the finance operations (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables and General Ledger) across the SEA region (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand)
  2. Deliver and ensure timely and accurate month end and year end close
  3. Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports and analyses
  4. Overseethe preparation and submission of statutory accounts
  5. Act as the primary Finance liaison for all sites in SEA
  6. Lead, develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, regulatory requirements and internal policies
  8. Review, implement and improve Finance workflows to strengthen internal controls and compliance
  9. Drive standardisation, automation and improvements in financial processes and controls to enhance efficiencies
  10. Oversee tax and regulatory filings, working closely with the tax agents and local authorities to manage compliance and audit processes
  11. Liaise and coordinate with external auditors to support audits and ensure timely submission of statutory financial statements and filings
  12. Any other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
  • At least 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably in Manufacturing or Logistics, with at least 3 years in leading a team
  • Experience with managing manufacturing sites in Malaysia and familiarity with tax and regulatory requirements in Malaysia will be highly preferred
  • Experience with process optimization/improvements will be advantageous
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, hands-on with a mindset geared towards transformation, standardization, automation and efficiency
  • Attention to details and technical expertise in accounting are essential
  • Strong team player
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
