Salary: $2800 - $3500 (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)
Alternate Saturday (9am - 1pm)

Locations: North Area (Bus 856, 856B, 981)

Job scope

Handles various types of import/export documentation for shipments ranging from airfreight to sea freight to local transport delivery.

Liaises with freight forwarders, transportation companies and coordinates with relevant internal parties including purchasing and warehousing to ensure timely clearance and arrival of cargoes to warehouse.

Monitors and follows up on demurrage/detention issues on every shipment handled as well as reviews freight rates.

Liaises with government agencies such as SFA on audit, inspection of food consignment.

Liaises with insurance surveyor on cargo site survey.

Checks all shipping documents and maintains proper filing.

Prepares month-end report, verifies shipping tax invoices and carries out periodic review of shipping costs.

Carried out ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by reporting manager.
