Job description:
  • Commissioning, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of marine electrical and mechanical equipment onboard vessels and at company premises/workshops (i.e. burners, boilers, scrubbers, EGE, EBG, GCU, and supporting systems).
  • Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to vessels within the region, and occasionally globally.
  • Must have valid travel documentation ready, including passports, visas, seaman’s book, and vaccinations as required.
  • Ensure all work is executed in accordance with the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment guidelines, as well as customer site procedures; report unsafe practices and incidents promptly.
  • Prepare Service Certificates (time sheets) onsite and obtain customer signatures.
  • Write detailed Service Reports outlining the work performed, highlighting potential safety issues, identifying required or suggested spare parts, and providing recommendations for future services.
  • Proactively recommend required or suggested spare parts to customers.
  • Communicate sales opportunities to Service Managers.
  • Provide both onsite and remote technical support to clients.
Job requirements:
  • Experience with boiler and burner systems, and scrubbers (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic programming knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Familiarity with parameterisation of industrial and marine controllers.
  • Hands‑on experience with automation, control, and instrumentation devices, including pumps, electrical motors, frequency converters, actuators, and positioners.
  • Structural and systematic approach to task execution.
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality work results.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to cross‑cultural environments.
