Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking skilled individuals for hydraulic and electrical system testing and commissioning. The role requires a minimum diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of marine or offshore experience. Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of systems onboard ships, inspections, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Marine/Offshore/Instrumentation & Control/Hydraulic.
• Comfortable working independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and inspections as per company policies.
• Install, maintain and upgrade valve control and gauging systems.
• Test and commission hydraulic deck machinery.

Job description

Job Descriptions:

• Valve remote control and tank gauging system
• Hydraulic deck machinery testing/ commissioning/ service
• Installation, maintenance and upgrade these systems and related equipment, including inspection, testing and repair
• Carryout testing and inspections by company policies and procedures
• Must have relevant experience in Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Hydraulic fields
• Able to read and understand the electrical drawings and P&ID/ hydraulic circuits
• Need to work onboard the ship (shipyard, anchorage, offshore) if necessary
• Travel to overseas for service job when necessary

Preferred background knowledges:

• Hydraulic/ Pneumatic/ Electric Actuator functions/ principles
• Hydraulic Power Units functions/ Trouble Shooting/ Service
• Electrical Motor Stater panel troubleshoot, solenoid control, instrumentation, Automation control troubleshoot
• Basic knowledge for the PLC Programming upload/ download/ Scada/ HMI

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineer
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working especially in Marine/ Offshore/ Instrumentation & Control/ Hydraulic
• A self-starter
• Comfortable working independently and working with team members
