Job summary

A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a Therapy Assistant to assist therapists in setting up treatment and supervising patients during therapeutic activities. Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assists the therapist in setting up / supervising / assisting patients in the performance of therapeutic activities / exercises.
  • Assists the therapist in setting up treatment areas / clinics in preparation for patient use.
  • Assists the therapist in setting up modalities / therapeutic equipment and supervising patients on them.
  • Assists in conducting group therapy exercises under supervision of the therapist.
  • Tidies therapy area and assist with cleaning duties.
  • Assists in setting up inventory list of equipment / supplies / forms.
  • Coordinates portering of patients to and from the department for therapy in the area of work, and porter patients if necessary.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Performs inventory checks of equipment / supplies / forms and managing inventory lists.
  • Performs photocopying, binding, filing and distribution of documents and forms.
  • Performs basic data entry and data retrieval using relevant computer programmes.
  • Maintains therapeutic equipment and devices.
  • Assists with developing simple therapeutic resources
  • Assists in orientation and induction of new therapy assistants.
Requirements
