The Senior Systems Engineer (Maintenance) is responsible for the hands‑on management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s IT and physical infrastructure. This role focuses on the day‑to‑day operation, preventive maintenance, and enhancement of systems, including servers, networking equipment, cabling, and EIF components, to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance. The position requires strong technical expertise, practical field experience, and the ability to lead and coordinate maintenance and infrastructure activities across multiple systems and sites.

Infrastructure Maintenance & Operation
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of IT systems, cabling infrastructure, power and grounding, and EIF setups.
  • Monitor system health and performance, addressing hardware, network, and system‑level issues proactively.
  • Manage and maintain system backups, redundancy configurations, and recovery procedures
Hands‑on Systems Suppor
  • Conduct field work involving installation, configuration, and testing of hardware and cabling systems.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and infrastructure issues across servers, switches, and endpoints.
  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, cabling routes, and change logs
Infrastructure Management & Upgrade
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, replacements, and patching with minimal service disruption.
  • Manage equipment lifecycle, including asset inventory, procurement recommendations, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, safety guidelines, and internal policies
EIF / Cabling Supervisio
  • Oversee EIF operations including rack layout, labeling, patching, and cable management best practices.
  • Supervise or coordinate with vendors and contractors for structured cabling works and physical infrastructure improvements.
  • Conduct inspections to verify proper cable dressing, termination, and environmental readiness.
Documentation & Reportin
  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of system layouts, cabling diagrams, and maintenance records.
  • Prepare periodic reports on infrastructure status, incidents, and improvement plans.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining accurate technical documentation.
  • Work closely with IT operations, network, and facility teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate vendor maintenance schedules, ensuring work is done safely and efficiently.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT systems maintenance, infrastructure management, or cabling supervision.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or structured cabling certifications (e.g., Panduit, CommScope) are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of data center or EIF environmental management, including power, cooling, and cable routing standards.
