We are on the search for a subject matter expert in factory automation, where you'll inspire innovation through the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge factory automation solutions across both new and existing applications.
In your new role you will:
- This job requires being the subject matter expert of factory automation which covers design, development, implementation and maintenance of Factory Automation solutions through new and existing applications.
- The expert also requires to understand factory automation systems architecture, and is able to cover the platform, network and infrastructure (servers, db, middleware) on which the applications are sitting.
- The expert is also required to cover solution integration within the production applications landscape across various layers, which are integrated with the Factory Automation solution.
- Problem solving for factory automation where proactively acts on trends within manufacturing factory automation, able to collaboratively create and support innovative ideas in their own domain of expertise, investigate new ideas, consider alternatives, and drive active risk management.
- Solve problems with higher complexity involving expert networks. Demonstrate support of problem solving, generate analysis and hypotheses, draw conclusions from analysis, and derive lessons learned. Exploit deviations for continuous improvement and guide/share knowledge with junior members/vendors.
- Build up technical competence within own domain of expertise and within own Business Line/Functional Area.
- Drive technical or architectural decisions within the Functional Area and execute implementation. Demonstrate active knowledge transfer and best practice sharing across organizational boundaries, building a community that establishes solution principles to guide junior members.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Relevant vocational training (3+ years) and extensive subject-specific additional qualification.
- Experience related to system architecture, design, and integration within manufacturing and production domains.
- Examples of building technical competence and sharing knowledge to enhance team capabilities in high automation.
- Experience leading the development or creation of guidelines and principles in architecture or solutions.
- Relevant completed study (4 years) in mechanical, mechatronics, computer engineering, or with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and skills can also be acquired through other means.
- Technical skills include factory automation software platforms, middleware, C#, equipment software, Oracle, and Windows services (plus)
- 7+ years of relevant working experience, preferably with leadership experience of at least 2 team members.
