Who Are We (About the Team)

Join our Ecosystem team, a cross‑functional group of engineers and product partners building the platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with the software our customers rely on every day. We own strategic accounting, marketplace, payment plugins, and open‑banking integrations, as well as the infrastructure that powers our public APIs that enabling third‑party partners to build on top of. You’ll work closely with backend, product, design, and go‑to‑market teams to ship secure, reliable experiences that simplify financial operations for businesses of all sizes and unlock new use cases on top of the Airwallex business account.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies and contribute to the growth and success of our company. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the ecosystem platform, build and integrate APIs to connect with external financial institutions and third‑party platforms (accounting, HR, ERP, marketplace, etc.), and develop scalable solutions to support our ecosystem strategy. You will also have the chance to work closely with product managers and designers to deliver innovative features and functionalities, as well as contribute to the technical roadmap and provide input on new technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Delivering complex frontend features with React and TypeScript, including requirements breakdown, time estimation, and active participation in team planning and discussions.

• Cooperate with the design team to build a design system with common components.

• Establishing and maintaining internal coding standards.

• Actively engage with our Frontend Guild, research cutting‑edge technologies, and drive initiatives to build high‑quality products and clean up technical debt.

• Developing and maintaining integrations with major accounting platforms such as Xero, NetSuite, and QuickBooks on various use cases (bank feeds, expenses, invoice payment, etc.)

• Designing and developing features for payment plugins integrated with various e‑commerce platforms (Shopify, Shopline, and WooCommerce, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in developing Internet applications, large financial systems, or e‑commerce platforms

• Deep familiarity with the standard library, idiomatic usage, and best practices of React and TypeScript. Able to write clear, maintainable, and efficient code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend build tools and task runners, such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt

• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress

• Knowledge or experience of building plugins in NetSuite, Salesforce, or Shopify

• Domain knowledge on accounting or payments

• Experience with integrating AI/LLM models into production systems.
