RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk analyses on customers and monitor market and macro-economic factors impacting credit quality.
- Upload and review counterparties' financial statements using internal credit rating tools and make recommendations on credit approvals.
- Advise on risk mitigation options, including trade insurance, and negotiate terms with insurance providers.
- Analyze transactions within approved limits and prepare daily reports on overdue accounts and compliance violations.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
- Oversee compliance with trade regulations by maintaining strict controls over customs issues and import/export regulations.
- Implement and enhance trade compliance platforms, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and sanctions.
- Conduct internal audits to evaluate departmental compliance with risk management and trade regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on risk awareness and compliance matters.
- Act as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies and external auditors concerning risk and compliance issues.
- Investigate compliance breaches and report findings, ensuring prompt corrective actions.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and industry best practices, advising management as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in risk management or trade compliance.
- Background in the trading industry is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, including sanction regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic IT systems experience and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Proven ability to produce accurate reports and effective written and verbal communication.
- Strong multitasking skills and a willingness to learn with a positive attitude.
