Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive credit risk analyses on customers and monitor market and macro-economic factors impacting credit quality.
• Upload and review counterparties' financial statements using internal credit rating tools and make recommendations on credit approvals.
• Advise on risk mitigation options, including trade insurance, and negotiate terms with insurance providers.
• Analyze transactions within approved limits and prepare daily reports on overdue accounts and compliance violations.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
• Oversee compliance with trade regulations by maintaining strict controls over customs issues and import/export regulations.
• Implement and enhance trade compliance platforms, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and sanctions.
• Conduct internal audits to evaluate departmental compliance with risk management and trade regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on risk awareness and compliance matters.
• Act as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies and external auditors concerning risk and compliance issues.
• Investigate compliance breaches and report findings, ensuring prompt corrective actions.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and industry best practices, advising management as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in risk management or trade compliance.
• Background in the trading industry is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, including sanction regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic IT systems experience and proficiency in MS Office applications.
