Job summary

A leading infrastructure company in Singapore seeks a qualified Engineer for site supervision in Civil Works projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil & Structural Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including supervision roles. Responsibilities include overseeing works, liaising with contractors, and ensuring compliance with BCA regulations. The position requires active participation in safety inspections and progress reporting. Only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be considered.

Job Requirements

• Registered with IES/ ACES with min 8 years relevant working experience for Civil Works projects, and min 4 years of experience in supervision of works.
• Must be fully conversant with BCA Regulations, maintenance of systematic site records, government contract documents and meet BCA reporting requirements.
• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Experience in supervising major earthworks, roads and drainageworks, and preferably PSPC girders or segmented post- tensioned viaducts, installation of utilities, and associated works.
• Only SC/SPR.

Job Description

• Provide site supervision for Civil, Structural and miscellaneous works for infrastructure projects.
• In charge of RTOs on their day-to-day duties.
• Liaison with contractor on work schedule, progress, work quality, site safety and quality control, etc, in relation to specifications.
• Liaison and co-ordinate with relevant authorities and local communities for works executed on site.
• Carry out duties as QP representative as specified under BCA regulations and report to the project QP and Engineers.
• Administration of contract including assessment of progress payment claims, variations work, extension of time, etc.
• Ensure works carried out by the Contractor are in accordance with the drawings and specifications, approved methods and schedule.
• Track and review Contractor’s submissions e.g. materials, suppliers, construction methodology, etc.
• Liaison and co-ordinate with other Contractor working on site.
• Give regular feedback and report as required to the Consultant on the works progress, as well as improvement items pertaining to safety, supervision, security, construction, maintenance, etc.
• Actively participate in weekly site safety inspection with Contractor and Authority’s Representative.
• Chair daily monitoring review meetings with Contractor(s) and IM Contractor(s) to review readings (using real-time monitoring systems) and identify trends of concern in relation to all construction activities.
