Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimates and tender documents for construction projects. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, along with over 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing contract documents, evaluating tenders, and ensuring project objectives are met. This role involves communication with clients and subcontractors to maintain project progress and resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications

  • More than 3 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Knowledge in both civil and architectural concepts.
  • Experience in LTA / high-rise building projects is an advantage.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage and prepare the measurements and cost estimates for the construction projects from initial calculations to the final accounts.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
  • Prepare contract documents in accordance to the regulations.
  • Prepare cost analysis and monitor project overruns to ensure the objectives of the project is achieved.
  • Access payment and variation works to client and subcontractors to facilitate the smooth workflow process.
  • Communicate with the client, management, sub-contractors and keeps track of the progression of both main contract and sub-contract.
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final account.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with CCCC policies, processes, systems and procedures.
  • Any other adhoc tasks assigned by superior.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Quantity Survey / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • More than 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Acquired with both civils and architectural knowledges is preferable.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in LTA / high rise building of work will be advantages.
