Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project budgets, claims, and estimates. The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in HDBBTO projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to lead junior staff, ensuring the projects meet financial and deadline expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with HDBBTO projects is required.
• Familiarity with Main Contractor experience is advantageous.

• Prepare and monitor project budget and expenditures.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and cash flow forecasts.
• Lead and train junior Quantity Surveyors.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and monitor budget and keep track of projects expenditures e.g. budget and cost control.
• Preparation of monthly progress claim.
• Preparation of project cash flow forecast.
• Prepare interim valuation and certificate of sub-contractors claims according to work completed and evaluate variation claims.
• Preparation and submission of Variation Orders.
• Discussion with consultants on Variation Orders.
• Attendance of site/technical meetings.
• EOT claims preparation.
• Evaluation of price comparison summary.
• Quantity take off, cost estimation, preparation of tender submission with specific deadline.
• Lead and train Junior QS.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in full cycle of Quantity Surveying.
• Experience in HDBBTO project is required.
• Working experiences with Main Contractor would be an advantage.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
