Job summary

A leading technology firm based in Singapore seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage supplier relationships and enhance supply chain efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying qualified suppliers, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies. Candidates should possess a degree in engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the high-tech or semiconductor industries. Proficiency in ERP systems and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers for parts (off-the-shelf, fabricated, and electrical/electronic) and services
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans
• Place and manage purchase orders
• Maintain accurate and timely procurement data in ERP system
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal policies and controls

Strategic Supply Chain Management

• Drive supply chain initiatives, such as cost reduction, multi-sourcing, and inventory planning
• Continually analyze market trends and supply risks; develop mitigation strategies accordingly

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial, Materials)
• 2+ years of relevant experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within semiconductor equipment, precision manufacturing or high-tech industries
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
