Overview

Our client is an international freight and shipping company. They are currently looking for a Senior Operations (Sea Freight) to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities

• Handle high level queries and operational orders for Singapore, as well as X Trade business for Overseas Offices, Clients and Agents.
• Negotiate rate levels with agents, carriers, and transport companies.
• Handle high level shipping quotes and maintain freight rate management.
• Ensure shipping processes are being adhered to and a high level of service is maintained.
• CargoWise system upkeep and order creations. Ensure systems are kept up to date throughout the process. (CargoWise)
• Quoting and Invoicing of shipments as well as QC of these activities.
• Agent relationship building and upkeep. Relationship building and management.
• Statistical understanding and reporting of volumes and trade lanes.
• Mentor new team members.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5-10 years experience in Logistics
• Knowledge of Imports / Exports / General Logistics / Warehousing / Customs / Rate Understanding
• Seafreight knowledge (Importing and Exporting), Consolidations, Negotiations
