Job summary

A leading refinery operator in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead maintenance activities and supervise technicians. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 2 years of experience in plant equipment maintenance, preferably in the oil refinery or petrochemical sector. Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems such as SAP and Primavera is an advantage. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary range of SGD 3,800 - SGD 6,000 monthly.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2 years' experience in plant equipment maintenance, preferably in oil refinery or petrochemical.
  • Good knowledge of computerized systems for maintenance.

About Us

Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.

Job Description
  • Lead and supervise a group of technicians and manage contractors in the execution of refinery maintenance activities.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out as planned, monitor progress and performance of critical equipment and conduct failure analysis and implement recommendations for reliability improvement.
  • Develop and implement work plans, including purchase requisitions, selection/evaluation of contractors, as well as maintenance activities scheduling and costing.
  • Supervise, audit and carry out timely updates of equipment data & maintenance information.
  • Develop and conduct Risk Assessments, safety training, work procedures etc.
  • Participate in project review to identify maintenance aspects/impact on project.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Other Information
  • 2 years' experience in maintenance of plant equipment, preferably in oil refinery/petrochemical or related industries.
  • Candidates without relevant experience may be considered for entry-level position.
  • Good knowledge of computerized system for routine and TAR maintenance. Familiarity with SAP and Primavera will be an added advantage.
