Primary Purpose

The Senior Manager, Store Design will lead design management for Coach stores in the SEAO region, serving as the primary point of contact for local leadership on store design matters. Acting as the “eyes and ears” on the ground, this role ensures projects align with brand standards, timelines, and budgets while maintaining strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The position also manages an Assistant Manager and reports to the Director of Store Design in New York City.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in store design to
Project Leadership
  • Manage all phases of store design for South East Asia projects—from concept development through technical design and implementation—ensuring stores open on time and within budget.
Local Representation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local leadership on store design; act as the on-the-ground representative for the global design team.
Site Engagement
  • Conduct site reviews with local Business Development and Real Estate teams to ensure design intent and operational requirements are met.
Enhancements Ownership
  • Own all store enhancement projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with brand standards.
Creative Review
  • Review and approve creative samples locally to minimize back-and-forth and accelerate decision‑making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with ISPC, procurement, and construction partners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Visual Merchandising & Zoning
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising and local buying teams to ensure proper store zoning and product presentation.
Real Estate and Sales
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including , to ensure store designs align with business objectives, operational requirement.
Scheduling & Planning
  • Develop accurate project schedules in collaboration with construction teams, incorporating design timelines, permitting, and construction milestones.
Team Management
  • Oversee workload distribution between yourself and the Assistant Manager, balancing priorities based on team strengths and project complexity.
Budget & Technical Oversight
  • Analyze and resolve budgetary and technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Control
  • Review construction and millwork drawings for accuracy in dimensions, materials, and specifications.
The individual will possess
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 7 years in retail design, with international project experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage direct reports and balance team workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations both for projects and within internal teams to find amicable solutions.
  • Expertise in reviewing architectural and millwork drawings.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
